Überpunk war gestern. Heute wird die Deutschrocknacht gefeiert. Und alle, alle sind sie gekommen. Joko und Klaas, Gott und Donkey Kong, Erdogan und Putin, all die Lemuren der Nacht. Ben Becker gibt den Einheizer. Und bringt vielleicht noch die Onkelz mit. Und alle singen: So gehen die Deutschen, die Deutschen gehen so.
Geladen haben die Schwulen Nuttenbullen. Sie tun es für Deutschland. Fürs Weltmeister-Schlaaand, Weißblech-Deutschland, sie tun es für dich und für mich. Und geben uns das, was wir verdienen.
Doch leider, leider: Die Tränen sind knapp. Die Schwulen Nuttenbullen bedauern: Das Dorf säuft ab. Da hilft auch kein Deichgraf mehr. Zuviel Pitbull Politics, die keine Rücksicht nehmen auf liebliche Befindlichkeiten unter einem Himmel voller Drohnen und der Aussicht, als Solist übrig zu bleiben.
Schnaps bleibt Schnaps und Punk bleibt Punk. Und es soll niemand sagen, dass es sich im eigenen Museum nicht gut leben lässt, wenn die Kohle auf der Deutschen Bank liegt. Diskurs in alle Richtungen. Und erst mal abwarten. Und dann – weiter machen.
Die SNB stinkt nach Fisch, ist dumm und hat Angst vor der Deutschrocknacht. Und das ist auch gut so.

Formed in the 1998 on the beautiful city of Krefeld, Japanische Kampfhörspiele is, in my humble opinion, one of the best grind bands out there. Perhaps I should correct myself, Japanische Kampfhörspiele doesn’t play pure grindcore, but rather grindcore filled with many other influences, such as death metal, punk, well, I would have to write pages about every single style this band blends, making them so unique and a cult act. I better mention how they describe themselves so you can see the weirdness of their sound: popgrindpunk.
After they disbanded in 2011, the band returns with a killer album named Welt Ohne Werbung to be released this month, May, 2014 via Apocaplexy Records’s sub label Phantom Records. Welt Ohne Werbung represents everything that Japanische Kampfhörspiele a mixture of extreme music, weird sounds, funny and interesting at the same time German lyrics, mood changes (between songs and into the own songs), it’s so unusual and crazy and yet magnificent in its own extremeness and imposing. You can sense that they just don’t throw elements here and there to sound different or almost avant-garde, no, I feel that it’s all very well planned. I have to admit that their music style is very complex to define, almost an impossible task!
Unlike most of the grind bands, Japanische Kampfhörspiele’s Welt Ohne Werbung features many “long” songs for the genre. The first one, for example is over four minutes. Funny thing about the first song, Ihr verdammten, it started with a groovy mood, then it stopped for a second. Right on this moment I though, here comes the attack! But no, the groovy style remained, until, yes, the vocals merged into the song. I seriously think that any extreme metal/ grindcore/ weird music fan would enjoy every single song of Welt Ohne Werbung. I’ll just comment on a few as I believe I should do this: Der Neue Hitler will make you headbang, jump, whatever, go insane. It’s freaking amazing. Konditionierungsapparat is another awesome song; the guitar work is very skilled here. I can’t choose one song to represent the album, as I mentioned before, they aren’t alike, Welt Ohne Werbung is indeed a very diverse album. Oh, one more song that I’d like to mention is Chef de Cuisine, it will blow your mind!
And some more info about the released itself, you can order it on the CD version or vinyl, limited to 500 copies (200 in blue and 300 in black). Both have one bonus tracks each: Gedanken lessen on CD and Multispektralzielsystem on vinyl. Well, it seems that the blue vinyl is already sold-out. A real pity.
As my final verdict, Japanische Kampfhörspiele is back and back to its rightful place, as the kings of German Grindcore. Ohne Werbung is very solid, mature and, as always, innovative. If you enjoy this musical style, you won’t be disappointed at all. And if you are already familiar with their music, in my modest view, this album is even better than Bilder fressen Strom, the album which I used (now) to consider their best. Order it now!

Schon mal ein kleiner Vorgeschmack...

Schon mal angekommen sind die blauen WOW LPs. Das Presswerk hat sich ganze Mühe gegeben und alles richtig gemacht, ordnungsgemäß am Tag der Arbeit für alle Vorbesteller verpackt und am 02.05. versandt. Die Leute, die ne schwarze WOW mitbestellt haben, bitte in Geduld üben! Die schwarzen Platten werden für die kommende Woche erwartet.
Die Rebarker LPs sind mittlerweile auch rein und die 200 Stück mit dem Einfarbsiebdruck sind auch schon fertig, nächste Woche macht die Druckbude auch noch die auf 100 limitierte Version fertig. Passt. Sehr schön!

Rebarker hailing from one of the most fucked up cities in Germany, Magdeburg. This is their great follow up to their split 7" with Unrestrained from 2010. Rebarker continue to delve into the chaotic void of emotive hardcore to pull forth 10 frantic and jilted tracks. Slightly depressing, very emotive, solidly honest, and intense sounding hardcore.They create a dramatic and moody hardcore assault that is over flowing with passionate. The sound is extremely intense and gripping. Rebarker draw influences from mid/end '90s screamo bands like Chokehold, The Swarm, Ordination Of Aaron or Reversal Of Man and update it with a modern powerful driving force and plenty of creativity. Perfectly written tracks (includes 2 interludes and a nice '80s pop-cover) that flows effortlessly from one song to another - creating an ethereal mood spanning the entire emotional spectrum. Intricately interwoven chaos and melody, screams and whispers and power. Honestly, this is emotionally charged from start to finish. This straight-edge powerhouse proves once again that the edge has not gone dull.
The one-sided record comes with a screen-printed b-side, a full color printed cover and includes a digital download card. Limited to 300 copies, 200 w/ a 1-coloured silkscreenprint on the blank b-side and 100 with 2-coloured silkscreenprint. Artwork was done by almighty Hugues/Pzzl Recorded, mixed and mastered at Die Tonmeisterei / Oldenburg.
